AD903-RP is a soft black rubber piston that is used to prevent tunnelling in
high viscosity fluids - care should be taken to ensure the piston is suitable
for the dispensing application. Compatible for use with most liquids and pastes but aggressive solvents might cause the rubber to expand. For solvent use, consider the polyethylene wiper piston. This wiper piston is used with 3cc sized barrels only.
Pistons ensure that the pressure is evenly spread
across the fluid surface to provide consistent dispensing. Wiper seal pistons
prevent dripping and eliminate material waste by wiping the syringe barrel wall
clean as fluid is dispensed. Maximum operating pressure is 100psi (6.9 Bar).
Rubber pistons are a tighter fit for use with medium to high viscosity materials or with mechanical devices such as our manual syringe
gun to help slow down leakage past the double wiping edges. Can be used with pneumatic dispensing machine applications. Sold as a pack (50/pk).

Pistons are made of rubber and have dual blades to wipe the adhesive, paste or liquid from inside the syringe barrel as they move down. The blades also act to stop liquids from going past them as they dispense.
Once a syringe has liquid inside, insert the piston and push down on one side. This will allow air to escape and ensures the piston sits directly on the fluid without an air gap. When bottom filling using a barrel filler, the piston is pushed down and moves up as the liquid is fed into the syringe barrel. This product will ship via tracked courier.
